CLIFTON, Va. (WUSA) – A family in northern Virginia is holding out hope as their two young sons remain hospitalized with severe smoke inhalation.
The two children were trapped inside their home when it caught fire Wednesday and had to be rescued by firefighters.
In a heartbreaking post on Facebook, the Brice family shared an update about 3-year-old Zachariah and 6-year-old William.
The news is not good. The family wrote that both have symptoms consistent with brain death, but it’s not the final prognosis.
On Wednesday morning, fire crews rushed to the Brice’s home on Whetstone Manor Court in Clifton and found the two youngest boys trapped inside.
Neighbors watched in horror as the first responders worked to get the kids breathing.
