Working Iowa: Life services company To The Rescue hires for a variety of positions [Video]

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A life services company that serves people with disabilities is looking for more help.

”We work with individuals with intellectual disabilities. Our mission is to help members live independently and really be integrated into the community,” said Tyler Jentz, HR Director at To The Rescue.

That means offering home health care to help members live independently, and medical home care for those with higher medical needs. The company also does direct support to help with daily living, and has a day program for socialization.

”Whatever my members are doing, my staff are doing with them. Anything from preparing to get ready for the day, passing medications, assisting with lunch, providing activities to learn those social skills,” said Mariah Badker, Day Program Manager at To The Rescue.

There’s also a Transportation division, and job coaches to help members gain fulfilling employment.
