When should you celebrate your “cancer anniversary”?

There is no real “rule” on what you are allowed to celebrate. And actually – once you realize you can celebrate everything in your life – well that is the day you truly start stepping into being a cancer THRIVER!

But for me – I like to celebrate the day I finished chemo. That is the date I start counting being “cancer free.” I wasn’t cancer free after my surgery but when I finished chemo I was. So I celebrate from there forward.

But you know what? I actualy celebrate the day I was diagnosed too.

The day I got my first chemo
The day I got my first clear scan

Pick whatever date you want survivor sister. You don’t need to explain yourself to anyone.
