Whats Your Story? St. Jude Marathon Man [Video]

MONROE, La. (KNOE) – Mike McGee knows better than anyone that life can be a challenging race.

His family faced that challenge when his son, Will McGee, passed away from liver cancer.

Despite this tragedy, Mike was able to able to find hope again when he established the Willpower Foundation – a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

“We’ve got to be able to do something back from this hospital,” said McGee.

Over the last decade, the Willpower Foundation has organized several events raising nearly one million dollars and at the age of 62 Mike was given a special exemption to run the Boston Marathon waving the St. Jude Banner.

In this edition of What’s Your Story?, Emmy-nominated feature reporter Aaron Dietrich follows Mike McGee as he joins the race to cure cancer.
