What Helped Me Drop 20lbs

The single most important piece of advice –

If I could offer you one piece of advice to help you stop weight after cancer – this is it!

Stop GOOGLING weight loss. It’s a trap. It’s a waste of time. It’s not going to work.

After cancer, I thought I could just go back to doing the same “healthy” things I did before cancer. Except after a couple of months, I realized it didn’t work. I wasn’t losing any weight.

I was actually GAINING MORE weight.

It’s because your body has changed after cancer. You can feel that. So we need to change your “healthy habits” to fit your body now. That’s how you get results.

Here’s what helped me drop 20 lbs after cancer –

1) Tracked My Food

Tracking your food is a tool to help you identify problem. It’s like a fast forward button to learning what your body needs and what needs to be removed.

2) Remove the Excuse Mindset

I’m sorry that we were diagnosed with cancer. That is not right. It’s not fair. But lets take those feelings and tuck them away because they are not serving you anymore. It’s ok to have a moment of pity but then we pick ourselves up and we own it – like the thrivers we are.

3) Don’t Work Out to Drop Weight

Working out hard with the expectation that you will lose weight – is not going to work. Work out because it lowers your risk of cancer, because it protects your bones, because you enjoy it.

This is a great place to start. But you know what most women are missing with weight loss after cancer? What exactly are you going to cook?!?

You need the specifics and I’m here to help! ❤️ 🥑
