COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – First responders 11 News spoke with say the entire community is feeling the impact of the events of the past month. Some say they are trying to move forward with their jobs.

“We’re human, right? It does take an emotional toll,” Otero County Sheriff Shawn Mobley said.

Mobley says crews spent days searching the water, on foot, by vehicle, and with drones for 19-year-old Devlin Cambuel. The announcement that a body is now found came just hours after the sheriff’s office announced they were planning a helicopter search.

“And the family is going to be going through the same thing as well as our community,” Mobley said. “We’ve had a really tough couple of weeks down here in LaJunta and so everybody’s gonna I think go through this kind of grieving and healing process.”
