COURTDALE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A church community paused to mark a milestone on Sunday as the Courthdale United Methodist Church celebrated its 140th Anniversary.
The church has been part of the area for centuries since 1884.
Fundraisers kicks off for officer battling cancer
28/22 News was there Sunday morning for a service honoring the rich history of the church.
Its members also took time to remember Courtdale’s home-time heroes who served our country.
Earlier this year, a number of service members were recognized with banners on courtdale avenue.
