UAW files charges against Mercedes-Benz while employees look to unionize [Video]

The United Auto Workers union filed charges in Germany against Mercedes-Benz. This comes after employees at the plant in Vance are working to unionize to protect their rights.“In the beginning, the company didn’t seem to care that we had a union drive going on,” Mercedes Benz employee Jeremy Kimbrell said, “and then we got to the point where we had about 30% people in the plant signed union cards. Then, all of a sudden, the company got real hostile toward our union activities.”UAW filed charges against the automaker, claiming the company violated Germany’s new law on global supply chain practices.
