Two High School Softball Teams come together for cancer awareness game | News [Video]

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) —Two High school softball teams are coming together as a community to support those who were impacted by cancer with an event to celebrate those who have survived, and those who we’ve lost. 

Tonight’s program was set to bring attention to the nearby 2 million people who will be diagnosed with cancer in 2024. 

44News spoke with Harrison Player, Myah Seaton, on how cancer impacts a lot of people.

“It’s just supporting people because personally I have had family members, and people in the crowd have had family members that’s been diagnosed,” Seaton expressed.

During the program, both teams joined forces to present flowers to cancer survivors in attendance, honoring their resilience and courage in the face of adversity.
