After a cancer diagnosis you start to wonder “what did I do to cause my cancer?”

You will likely never know what truly caused your cancer. Do not beat yourself up thinking it was something you did. We simply do not know everything about cancer (not yet).

Juice
It’s so high in sugar and most (if not all) of the fibre is removed. Instead of drinking juice – just EAT the fruits and vegetables.

Lavender
This one is a caution for hormone positive cancer. Lavender can act like a phytoestrogen in your body and may increase the risk of cancer. Now evidence is weak (not going to lie) but it’s worth tossing out. PMID: 17568039

Plastic Containers
There are so many microplastics in our environment but the best step forward is to swap your plastic containers with glass.

Alcohol
It’s known for being a toxin. It’s hard to hear but it’s true. Work to lower your consumption or avoid it completely. PMID: 34579050

Deli Meats
Eating as little as 50 g of deli meat each day can increase your risk of cancer significantly. If you are having a deli meat sandwich every day – time to rethink this. PMID: 34455534
