Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary was noticeably quiet during today’s segment as neither spoke for up to three minutes.

Vanessa Feltz and Tom Swarbrick joined the This Morning duo as they discussed gender dysphoria – which is the feeling of discomfort or distress that might occur in people whose gender identity differs from their sex assigned at birth or sex-related physical characteristics, according to the NHS.

The discussion titled “NHS Gender Identity Services Failed Children” addressed reports adolescents would no longer be given experimental puberty blockers.

But some viewers took to social media and reacted to Alison and Dermot appearing to not be fully engaged in the chat with the show guests as the duo were relatively silent on the subject, as one claimed it was “not good enough”.
