The State of Diversity in Cancer Clinical Trials [Video]

In cancer clinical trials, representation saves lives. In a conversation with Laura Evans Manatos, Dr. Marya Shegog, Health Equity and Diversity Director for Lazarex Cancer Foundation, explains why current clinical trials lack diversity, and what that means for cancer patients. Currently, Black and Latino communities are significantly underrepresented in these trials, with participation rates of less than 5% and 1% respectively.
