GREENFIELD, Iowa (KCRG) – Team members with Willie Ray’s Q Shack are heading to Greenfield this weekend to serve food as the town recovers from devastating storm damage.
Trevor Nicholson, one of the team members, tells TV9 they are planning to begin meal prep Thursday and Friday before heading out over the weekend.
Nicholson said he will be leading the team while Willie Ray Fairley, the restaurant owner, heads to Mississippi to attend a funeral.
Fairley has become known for his willingness to travel to provide food for people recovering from natural disasters.
It all started when Fairley served free meals to people in Cedar Rapids after the August 2020 derecho.
