Team Jack gives away 1972 Corvette to Lincoln sweepstakes winners [Video]

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The Team Jack Foundation gave away a 1972 Corvette Stingray valued at more than $60,000 on Wednesday as part of a nationwide sweepstakes to benefit pediatric brain cancer research.

The winners, Kevin and Jenny Cownie, were given the keys to their brand-new ride and they just happened to be from Lincoln.

This particular Stingray model was part of the last generation of the car that was made with chrome front and rear bumpers.

Kevin said he collects Corvettes and this will be the sixth one he’s owned.

He also said he was in the hospital when he found out he’d won the car.

“The day I was getting discharged I got the call last Wednesday and of course, I was talking and kind of whispered to her what happened she didn’t believe me… she goes ‘you did not’ she goes ‘it’s a scam, it’s a scam,’” …
