Amy Dowden was flooded with words of admiration as she shared that she is getting away from the UK ahead of the new series of Strictly Come Dancing. Posting to Instagram she shared sunny snaps of her time away, with husband and dancer, Benjamin Jones.

The pictures showed Amy, who recently finished treatment for stage three cancer, standing by a swimming pool wearing a leopard print cover-up and a floppy sun hat. Another showed her sharing a kiss with her partner as they enjoyed a dip in the water and a third image showed her smiling as she held a bottle of bubbly on ice.

She captioned the Instagram post, giving an explanation for each image, as she wrote: “1. It’s vacay mode. 2. Unconditional [love heart emojis] 3. Why not? [champagne emoji and cheeky face emoji].”
