WESTFIELD — The Episcopal Church of the Atonement, at 36 Court St., will host its annual Strawberry Festival on the church’s front lawn this Friday, June 21, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. to raise money for the Westfield Food Pantry.
The festival features strawberry sundaes and strawberry shortcake, with gluten-free and non-dairy options also available. Tickets are $5 and may be ordered in advance by contacting the church at 413-562-5461 or [email protected], or purchased during the festival. Cash or checks made out to ECOTA/Strawberry Festival will be accepted.
Bill Parks, who’s been in charge of the Strawberry Festival since 2017, said it’s a 160-year tradition that only paused for COVID-19. Parks said the church used to run a ham dinner, but when he took it over, it became all about sundaes and shortcakes.
