Spokesperson says Lamont has tested positive for COVID [Video]

Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio – Governor Lamont is under the weather.

A spokeswoman says Lamont wasn’t feeling well on Wednesday and decided to take an at-home COVID test.

The results came back positive, said spokeswoman Julia Bergman.

Lamont says he feels fine, save for a few mild symptoms.

The governor has been out of the office for the last few days and hadn’t had any close contact with staff or state officials, said Bergman, because he was taking previously scheduled time off.

Lamont has notified others with whom had close contact, encouraging them to get tested, as well.

He has informed staff that he’ll be working remotely for the time being.
