BANGOR – Dozens of softball players across six teams gathered at the Union Street Complex on Saturday for the fifth annual Molloch-4-Life Adult Softball Tournament.
The tournament benefits the Brady Nickerson Foundation, named for a Glenburn boy who passed away from brain cancer in 2019 at the age of 14. With many of the teams being on the local circuit, they play each other a lot and are quite competitive. However, Saturday brought a welcomed, more relaxed feel that was made even better by this great cause.
“It feels great and it’s just fun being here with everyone, seeing people we know from other teams, and just having a good time,” softball player Paige Theriault. “I love that it’s doing so much for the community.”
