Biography
Dr. Benedict C. Albensi is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Additionally, he holds a Professorship of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba. Dr. Albensi serves as the Everett Endowment Fund Chair for Alzheimer’s Research at St. Boniface Hospital Research Centre. With a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Utah’s Medical School, his pioneering research focuses on ageing, cognition, and Alzheimer’s disease. Renowned for his insights into mitochondrial dysfunction in Alzheimer Disease, he ranks in the top 1% globally for neurodegenerative publications.
