Society of St. Vincent de Paul presents Health and Wellness Fair [Video]

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Buffalo, which meets the needs of the neediest among us, is sponsoring a Health and Wellness Fair on Saturday, June 29, at the Delavan Grider Community Center (877 East Delavan Ave.) in Buffalo from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“Assessing Health Disparities in East Buffalo” will feature social service organizations that will provide information and answer questions related to health and wellness topics. Roswell Park Cancer Comprehensive Center, Independent Health, and Catholic Charities are among the 14 participating organizations.

D’Youville University nursing students will assist guests with survey questions about their knowledge and experience related to health and wellness resources available to them. That data will be analyzed with the results helping to determine the next steps to be taken to improve health and wellness among East Buffalo residents.
