Sharon Kelly, a patient access representative at Emory Hillandale Hospital, describes how she helps patients arriving for surgery feel comfortable and feel ready for their appointment.

The difference? Totally reimagined acute care spaces, to better serve our community. Our redesigned ER has additional triage and exam rooms, the most advanced CT scanner and X-ray machines, and an expanded waiting area. Our entirely new ICU is nearly doubled in size, so more patients can stay here, close to home. We’re grateful for our partnership with DeKalb County, making this $12M renovation possible.
