Shannen Doherty Says It’s ‘Hard’ Dating with Cancer: ‘I’m a Very Hard Sell’ [Video]

Shannen Doherty has some hesitation when it comes to opening her heart up again.

The 53-year-old actress is currently living with stage 4 breast cancer, and she doesn’t know if a relationship is in the cards right now.

“I’m a very hard sell,” Doherty admitted to Kelly Ripa on the June 26 episode of her Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast.

“I think it’s hard for somebody like me, in my personal opinion, because it’s hard to go into dating someone when you know that they might have an expiration date,” she said, referring to her cancer journey.

Doherty said that “most men” don’t “handle death and illness … as well as women do,” and that adds complications to her situation.

Ripa, 53, then asked the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum for an update on her treatment, to which Doherty shared that she feels like “a guinea pig on a wheel.”
