Sam Hubbard Foundation holds fourth annual fowling tournament [Video]

NORWOOD, Ohio (WXIX) – The Sam Hubbard Foundation drew hundreds of people to its fourth annual fowling tournament on Thursday.

The tournament drew 240 teams, which combines football and bowling. Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Sam Hubbard was at the tournament, which drew its largest crowd yet.

“It’s amazing,” Hubbard said. “It’s packed. It’s bigger and better than last year.”

Matt Kittell, the foundation’s executive director, said the funds from the tournament go to providing healthy snacks, hygiene items and educational supplies for children.

Hubbard’s Cubbard’s, one of the foundation’s programs, helps 7,500 kids in 13 schools in the Tri-State.

“Anytime during the day they can go in and grab them and fill that gap during the day,” Kittell said.
