NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – For 45 years the Sexual Assault Center (SAC) of Middle Tennessee has worked to change the culture around sexual assault and help make residents safer from sexual violence.
The theme of the 2024 Safe City Breakfast fundraiser is “Look How Far We’ve Come.” WSMV evening news anchor Tracy Kornet, a former SAC board member and volunteer, will deliver the keynote speech, along with Lisa Campbell, a longtime SAC advocate and capital campaign fundraiser for the Nashville non-profit.
The Sexual Assault Center offers trauma-informed therapy for men, women, and children who’ve suffered sexual assault, as well as education, training, and legal services. In 2018 it opened the first stand-alone, dedicated clinic for rape kit testing and medical services in Middle Tennessee.
