It’s been reported that Ruth Langsford is planning on extending her break from TV in the wake of the announcement of her split from husband Eamonn Holmes, who is said to be growing closer to a female pal since the separation. The pair revealed they had decided to get a divorce, after 14 years of marriage, last week.

A source claimed to The Sun that the 64-year-old won’t be making an appearance on the Loose Women panel this week either after their separation news. They said: “Ruth will not be back on screen this week.

“She has decided to extend her break from ITV so will not yet be making a return to the Loose Women panel.” Express.co.uk has contacted Ruth’s representative for comment.

Their marriage split was not discussed on the ITV show, with Ruth yet to publicly address their separation. However, Eamonn decided to address the situation on GB News last week next to Isabel Webster.
