Biden should loosen restrictions to allow veterans to use psychedelics as they recover from trauma experienced in combat, say lawmakers. 

One illegal drug, commonly known as ‘Molly,’ that’s popular among partiers and rave-goers has recently been found to be helpful in treating mental health issues.

Former Navy SEAL, and current Texas Congressman Morgan Luttrell has credited psychedelic drugs he was able to take in Mexico with saving his life and marriage after experiencing the true atrocity of war through multiple brutal combat deployments.

He argues that for veterans who suffer from war-induced mental issues, like Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBIs), sometimes there are no other options besides psychedelics. 

He teamed up with Morgan McGarvey, D-Ky., to urge the Veterans Affairs (VA) Undersecretary for Health Dr. Shereef Elnahal to take action.
