Every April, the world unites to observe Testicular Cancer Awareness Month, a dedicated time to shed light on this often overlooked but significant health concern affecting men. Although relatively rare compared to other cancers, testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men aged 15 to 35, so recognising the signs and symptoms is crucial for early detection and successful treatment. Regular self-exams are a critical component of early detection, with any changes noted in size, weight, colour, or sensation promptly reported to your doctor. Routine checkups are also an important element of early identification of potential issues, as well as increasing awareness by breaking the stigma and fostering open conversations about testicular health. Social media plays a pivotal role in spreading awareness, allowing survivors and advocates to reach a wider audience and start to break down the stigma associated with discussing men’s health issues, so Pushed created this video for their social media campaign in an effort to contribute to this awareness.

This 3D animation was created using Blender, After Effects and Premier and serves as a way for Pushed to help advocate for and spread the word regarding the importance of testicular cancer prevention, including the role that self-checks play in the fight against this horrible disease. This animated reminder encourages everyone to prioritise their health and make sure every man knows the importance of taking charge of their well-being. Check your balls and know your body. Let’s break the silence by promoting self-checks and supporting those affected through awareness. Together, we can make a difference.
