Penn State Health to build new cancer center in Cumberland County [Video]

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Penn State Health broke ground Tuesday on the expansion of its comprehensive cancer center.

Penn State Health is opening a new cancer center at the Hampden Medical Center in Enola.

The new facility will include diagnostics, treatments, and therapies. Patients will also be offered education and social support.

“Having high quality, integrated cancer care, that’s really what cancer care is all about,” said VP and Physician Leader Dr. Marc Rovito. “It should be integrated, patient-centered, and focused on what they need. The best way to do that is to have all cancer care in one place and that’s what this is about. We have great quality physicians out there in different locations, and this brings them together.”
