A Lehigh Carbon Community College student accused of cheating says the school failed to accommodate his disabilities, according to a federal lawsuit.

The lawsuit says 27-year-old Alexander Saavedra of Allentown struggled to finish his calculus exam due to fatigue from his history of leukemia, so his mother transcribed the answers from his notes.

He was taking the exam at home, and the teacher monitoring the students via cameras on their computers accused Saavedra of cheating, the lawsuit says.
