OJ Simpson flashes up in BET Awards memorium sparking laughter in audience as viewers ‘nearly changed the channel’ [Video]

SUNDAY night’s BET Awards featured OJ Simpson in its In Memorium segment, sparking a strong reaction from both audience members and viewers.

The longtime NFL player was honored at the annual awards after he died of prostate cancer on April 10.

OJ was notoriously tried and acquitted for the murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman, in 1995.

The murder trial spanned eight months, with OJ ultimately being found not guilty.

Actress Tia Mowry introduced the In Memoriam as a tribute to “the Black excellence that we unfortunately lost this year” during Sunday’s BET Awards.
