O.J. Simpsons last hearing [Video]

LOVELOCK, Nev. (KOLO) -He was in his time, a great athlete and a Hollywood personality. But O.J. Simpson. who died of cancer, was also the defendant in the Trial of the Century for the murder of his wife. He was acquitted of those charges, found liable in a civil case and convicted of armed robbery for an ill-advised attempt to recover memorabilia he claimed belonged to him.

Simpson’s last public appearance was not in a courtroom, but at the Nevada State Prison in Lovelock as he faced the Parole Board, by video, nine years into his sentence.

Despite his notoriety, the 2017 hearing was mostly routine with Simpson recounting how he had served his sentence with no incident, even making the claim he had led a mostly “conflict-free life”

The outcome was not without some controversy, given his lack of remorse. It came as no surprise to veteran Reno criminal …
