In Ireland, around 2,500 people each year develop bowel cancer.
1 in 5 diagnoses of bowel cancer in Ireland is to someone under 60.
1 in 10 diagnoses is to someone under 50.

We encourage everyone be aware of Bowel Cancers signs and symptoms and urge those under the screening age of 59 not to dismiss symptoms and to get checked by a GP if they notice changes.

This not just a disease of older age and as such we are also calling on the Government to reduce screening age from 59 to 50, to save more lives.
