A FAMILY was left scrambling after their car was towed away with their child’s cancer medications and wheelchair still in the back.
Multiple drivers complained as their cars were ripped from city streets – but the tow company said it was just doing its job, enforcing parking rules.
A family submitted a complaint to Carrboro, North Carolina officials, claiming their vehicle was towed while in the children’s hospital, according to local NBC affiliate WRAL.
“Our son has a terminal disease,” the driver wrote to the city officials, according to documents found by WRAL in January.
“We were inside [a nearby restaurant] for 45 minutes and came out, and our car was GONE.”
