Dr Michael Mosley, a fan favourite on shows like Secrets of Your Big Shop and The One Show, has gone missing on an island in Greece.

However, barely five weeks before his Grecian getaway, the 67-year-old was plastered on screens across the country as he joined Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones.

The health expert joined his fellow BBC stars on the Morning Live show on April 29, to discuss his 5:2 diet method, the benefits of intermittent fasting and his new book The Fast 800 Treats Recipe Book.

He got personal about the topic, revealing how he transformed his own life when he started fasting for two days a week over a decade ago.

Dr Mosley explained that after discovering he was overweight, as well as suffering from hypertension, high blood sugar and being diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic, he was told to “take medication and get on with it”.
