Mental Health Treatment Center proposed at Fargos Explorer Academy [Video]

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – The Fargo Public School District is proposing a Mental Health Therapeutic Treatment Center for a select number of students who attend the Explorer Academy.

In a memo scheduled to be discussed at the school board meeting on April 23, the proposal states, “Recognizing a need for therapeutic mental health services for students, the District issued a request for proposals seeking a qualified provider to establish a non-public school at the Explorer Academy in accordance with the laws of the State of North Dakota.”

The district anticipates enrollment of 35 students at the Explorer Academy for the 2024-2025 school year, with 20 students requiring therapeutic mental health services.

One proposal was received and, with administrative approval, Nexus-PATH Family Healing could be awarded the contract if the school board accepts the proposal. The memo says the treatment center would cost the district $13,788.96 per month for …
