It’s a dog’s world, we’re just living in it
The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office added a new facility dog and named the cutie Lassen.
Laseen, is a golden retriever and Labrador mix, and will act as the facility dog whose main duty is to help children and adults in the family and mental health courts.
Judge Beth Lazzara has Lassen come to her mental health courts every Monday, who’s already been joining in on giving out awards for good deeds in mental health courts and celebrating when people graduate treatment plans.
Pittsburgh Firefighters also have a new furry friend they can turn to when they’re hurt.
On Monday, Gunny’s Ridge K9 dog service presented the Pittsburgh firefighters union with a new service dog.
Maverick, a 9-month-old golden retriever, will be utilized by the union’s peer support group which helps firefighters through recovery.
And the Pittsburgh Pirates have officially named their new team dog.
