Meet the Aussie gamers raising money for cancer research [Video]

Aussie gamers are adding to an impressive $1.2 million tally raised in the name of cancer research. 

Since April 1, ‘Superhero Streamers’ have been broadcasting to the world on YouTube and Twitch, advertising and accepting donations on behalf of Game On Cancer.

South Australia’s ‘Nicktacula’ (real name Nick) is leading one of this year’s teams. 

“Cancer has touched my life in many different ways which is why I wanted to get involved,” explained the 27-year-old. 

“Thankfully one of my friends and a family member beat it.”

“Another one of my close friends, unfortunately, she wasn’t as lucky. And that really hit hard.”

“She was an absolute ray of sunshine through our community and it helped people understand why this is so important.”

“We don’t want to lose any more beautiful bright sparks.”
