MAPLE HEIGHTS, Ohio (WJW) — A worker at the Signature Health clinic along Southgate Park Boulevard was stabbed multiple times with a knife on Wednesday, according to authorities.
The 24-year-old man arrested was a patient at the clinic, Police Chief Todd Hansen said in a media briefing.

The suspect’s caregiver, a 49-year-old man, was stabbed multiple times, including in the chest and neck. He was first stabbed while providing treatment for the patient in a room, according to Hansen. The caregiver chased the patient down the hall and was stabbed again, he said.
Another employee at the facility intervened by throwing a chair at the patient, slowing him down long enough for a security guard to subdue him at gunpoint, according to a press release from the Maple Heights Police Department.
Police officers then arrived at the scene and took the patient into custody.
The stabbing happened at about 1:20 p.m.
