About the Pastern Wraps:

Equine Balance Magnetic Pastern Wraps have been designed to meet 3 essential magnetic therapy treatment parameters:

1. The magnets are positioned close to the skin – no matter what type of magnetic device you decide to use magnets must be in close contact to the body for the magnetic field to penetrate the tissue at a therpeutic intensity. Equine Balance place the magnets in thin, flexible sleeves ensuring a close contact.

2. The magnets are therapeutic strength and penetrate the tissue to the required depth – not all magnets produce magnetic fields of equal power or size. Equine Balance use therapeutic strength magnets manufactured from N42 high grade neodymium and pair the magnets to achieve a surface gauss strength of 2,000G per pair with a magnetic field that spans 280mm.

3. The magnets can be configured in either bipolar or multipolar arrays to generate magnetic field of different properties. A bipole array will produce a magnetic field with increased depth of penetrtion (useful when you want to target deeper body tissue), and a multipole array will produce a more shallow field type but with a steeper gradient which can increase magnetic activity close to the magnet.

Magnetic Pastern Wraps are a popular treatment method for horses that are turned out in the field or on box rest during the warmer months.

The pastern wraps can be positioned either above or below the fetlock and to either fore or hind limbs.

About the Magnets:
