Loving the Game: Teen with cancer meets Reds stars while hoping to get back to baseball [Video]

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A teenager diagnosed with cancer had his wish to meet the Reds fulfilled, but his dream is to return to the baseball diamond.

Max Schuster is a smiling 13-year-old who is continuing an exhausting fight with childhood cancer.

The baseball field is a second home for the teen and it’s a place he just wants to get back to.

“It’s been difficult, but I try to keep a positive attitude because like I’ve said to my parents, they’re, my mom is always, like, ‘Don’t you just feel fed up?’ And I’m just, like, ‘Well, what’s that going to do for anybody?’” Schuster says.

A teenage kid who just wants to be around the game.

It’s why the Reds wanted to be around him.
