Chennai scuba divers have launched a unique underwater campaign to create awareness among the voters for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. As many as six scuba divers went sixty feet under the water in Chennai’s Neelankarai and enacted the voting process. They entered the water with a dummy Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and flaunted voting awareness placards of the Election Commission of India (ECI). The messages on the posters read, ‘I know the power of my vote’ and ‘My country, my vote’.
One of the divers said they executed the exercise to convey a message that casting a vote is our duty and right.
