In the summer of 2021, doctors at Tulsa’s St. Jude affiliate at St. Francis diagnosed 2-year-old Hudson Schoen with stage four neuroblastoma.
Within two days, they were headed to Memphis.
“By the time that we got to St. Jude, it had pretty much spread everywhere, it was in his eyes, in his stomach, adrenal glands, it was kind of all over the place,” said Walter Schoen, Hudson’s father.
Because of COVID, Hudson’s 4-year-old brother, Houston, had to stay back in Tulsa with grandparents, while Kayla and Walter moved to Memphis for Hudson’s treatment.
