King Charles’s Doctors “Remain Positive” About His Recovery [Video]

Since Buckingham Palace announced King Charles’s cancer diagnosis in early February, there have been scant updates on the King’s health and recovery. Today, however, the Palace announced the British monarch would be returning to public duties. “His Majesty The King will shortly return to public-facing duties after a period of treatment and recuperation following his recent cancer diagnosis,” the Palace said in a statement.

Though Charles is returning to a schedule of public engagements, the news does not mean his cancer treatment has finished. “His Majesty’s treatment programme will continue, but doctors are sufficiently pleased with the progress made so far that The King is now able to resume a number of public-facing duties,” a Palace spokesperson said. “Forthcoming engagements will be adapted where necessary to minimise any risks to His Majesty’s continued recovery.”
