King Charles is keeping a weekly outing amid his cancer treatment.
The King, 75, was photographed smiling and waving to well-wishers from the backseat of a car as he headed to church at the royal family’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk, where they traditionally celebrate Christmas together, on Sunday.
Since announcing that he had been diagnosed with cancer on Feb. 5, the monarch has been spotted going to church on many weekends in Sandringham. He also regularly spends some of the week in London, where he keeps up with state duties and meetings including hosting small audiences, although most of his public duties are on hold amid his treatment.
King Charles’ latest public outing came a week after his surprise Easter Sunday walkabout alongside his wife Queen Camilla, 76. In an unexpected move, the royal couple shook hands and exchanged holiday wishes with a small crowd following a service at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
