Kenosha program helps people prepare for end-of-life [Video]

With Tax Day fast approaching, our minds turn to the old saying about death and taxes being the only sure things in life.

While we can’t persuade the IRS to allow a deduction for the cost of feeding your emotional support salamander, we can assist with the “death” part of that maxim.

Not that we want to hurry things along, but death is coming for all of us at some time.

The end of life isn’t a topic most people care to think about, but once you get over the shock of learning you won’t live forever, it’s time to get your final wishes written down. That way, your loved ones won’t have to make wrenching choices while you’re lying unconscious in a hospital.

Being prepared is the whole idea behind National Healthcare Decisions Day and a free program coming up Tuesday at the Kenosha County Job Center.
