Jury goes home after no decision on punishment for Chad Daybell [Video]

BOISE, ID (AP/AZFamily) — Jurors will resume deliberations on Saturday morning after not reaching a decision regarding the death penalty for Chad Daybell, who was convicted of murdering his first wife and two children belonging to his second wife, Lori Vallow.

They went home for the night just before 7 p.m. and will be back at 8 a.m. Arizona time.

The sentencing phase started on Friday morning with victim impact statements.

It was emotional for those left without Tammy Daybell, Tylee Ryan and J.J. Vallow still in their lives.

“I stand here today motherless, fatherless, sisterless and brotherless,” said Colby Ryan, Tylee and JJ’s brother. “I’ve lost everything I’ve ever known.”

Ryan’s father is dead, his mother, Lori Vallow, is serving life in prison, and his young siblings are gone.

He was just one of many who spoke about the devastation that Chad Daybell and Lori Vallow’s radical beliefs and actions caused.
