Julia’s Story: Life-Saving Breast Cancer Care at Denver Health (:60)
Julia Burtness had no idea anything was wrong when she came in for her annual mammogram at Denver Health in 2023. Her 3D mammogram revealed a small growth on one of her breasts and a same-day biopsy showed it was a small cancerous growth.

Because Burtness’s cancer was small and caught early, she was able to get it treated through surgery, having a procedure called a lumpectomy. She had radiation therapy following surgery and is now cancer free.
