SAOIRSE Ruane’s heartbroken mum has told how her little girls primary school paid a “fitting tribute” to her on graduation day.

The inspirational 12-year-old sadly passed away peacefully at her home in March after a long battle with a rare form of bone cancer.

Saoírse appeared on the Late Late Toy Show with host Ryan Tubridy and spoke about her cancer diagnosis in 2020.

The inspirational little girl’s appearance on the show saw the founding of the Toy Show Appeal – and Saoírse’s incredible legacy has since raised millions for children’s charities across the country.

Since her death, she has been remembered as a brave girl with “incredible strength” and a “radiant smile”.
