Igoe produces video for colon cancer awareness

To call attention to the importance of getting screened for colon cancer during March – Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month – Department of Communication Associate Professor Mike Igoe produced a public service announcement (PSA) that will air on MY TV Buffalo, Channel 49, at various times in March.

Mr. Igoe has a special interest in the subject since he is a 20-year survivor of colon cancer.

“When I turned 50 I went for a colonoscopy and that’s when my cancer was discovered. Thanks to early detection, I’m alive today since my disease was caught in its preliminary stages,” Igoe said.
