Ice cream recall June 2024: Full list of impacted products [Video]

WASHINGTON — A company that makes ice cream products for several popular brands including Hershey’s, Jeni’s, Friendly’s and Chipwich has announced a recall of all their products because of a possible listeria contamination. 

While listeria infection may cause only short-term symptoms in healthy individuals, it can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant people. Listeria can also cause serious and sometime fatal infections in kids, elderly people and those with weakened immune systems.

The recalled ice cream was sold nationwide and includes more than 60 different products sold under a variety of brand names. It includes ice cream cakes, ice cream sandwiches, ice cream cones and pints.
